Summary
Investigation of uncontrolled crane lowering during a crown-section lift at Boomvang SPAR. The suspended load descended approximately 15–20 feet before control was regained. Debris held the counterbalance valve open, while incomplete joystick release prevented the mechanical brake from setting. Cleaning and pressure adjustment restored normal crane operation.
